Industrial IoT Engineer
Overview
Design and build connected data-driven industrial systems from factory floor to enterprise cloud platforms. Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions including edge data acquisition secure connectivity cloud ingestion real-time analytics and operational dashboards. Work with cross-functional partners to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions and mentor junior engineers.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement scalable IIoT architectures using Python C++ or Go
- 2Develop edge data acquisition systems leveraging OPC UA Modbus MQTT and Sparkplug B
- 3Engineer secure connectivity and cloud ingestion pipelines on AWS Azure or GCP
- 4Create real-time analytics dashboards and operational monitoring tools
- 5Collaborate with product design and operations teams to convert ambiguous requirements into solutions
- 6Lead code reviews design reviews and mentorship initiatives for junior engineers
- 7Integrate OT/IT systems using Unified Namespace patterns
- 8Implement streaming analytics platforms and time-series databases such as InfluxDB or TimescaleDB
- 9Apply industrial cybersecurity standards and troubleshoot complex system issues
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 2Five or more years of IIoT or industrial software engineering experience
- 3Strong programming proficiency in Python C++ or Go
- 4Hands-on experience with industrial protocols OPC UA Modbus MQTT and Sparkplug B
- 5Experience with major cloud IoT platforms AWS Azure or GCP
- 6Familiarity with edge runtimes Greengrass IoT Edge
- 7Solid understanding of OT IT integration patterns
- 8Knowledge of streaming and real-time analytics platforms
- 9Understanding of industrial cybersecurity standards
- 10Excellent troubleshooting communication and documentation skills
- 11Preferred: Digital twin platforms predictive maintenance ML models Unified Namespace experience ISA certification IEC 62443
