
OT Network Security Engineer, Manufacturing & Industrial Sites
Overview
You will build and develop safeguards for operational technology infrastructure at a manufacturing company spanning multiple US industrial sites. You will work hands-on, traveling to various sites to secure OT networks, with remote work between assignments. You will join a team of security professionals focused on protecting critical manufacturing processes. This role stands out for its direct field impact and up to 80% travel.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement network security controls for OT environments, including segmentation and firewall rules, within the first 90 days.
- 2Deploy and configure IDS/IPS and SIEM solutions across industrial sites to monitor and detect threats.
- 3Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans on PLC and SCADA systems, prioritizing remediation.
- 4Collaborate with site operations teams to enforce security policies without disrupting production.
- 5Lead incident response for OT security events, containing and eradicating threats.
- 6Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture and security procedures.
- 7Provide training to local staff on OT security best practices and threat awareness.
- 8Coordinate with vendors to patch and update Windows and Linux OT servers and endpoints.
Requirements8
- 15+ years experience in OT network security or industrial control systems security.
- 2Hands-on experience with Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and Nozomi or Claroty platforms.
- 3Strong knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, and EtherNet/IP protocols.
- 4CISSP or GICSP certification preferred.
- 5Proven ability to travel up to 80% domestically.
- 6Excellent communication skills for interacting with plant engineers and management.
- 7Experience with Splunk or ArcSight for log analysis.
- 8Understanding of NIST and ISA/IEC 62443 frameworks.
