Overview

5+ years in IT security, you will own security administration for maritime OT systems, protecting vessel and shore-side networks. You will report to the CISO and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure NIST compliance. This role stands apart by combining OT network monitoring with hands-on SIEM tuning across a global fleet. 90 days in, you will have reduced alert noise and automated incident workflows with Python scripts.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Configure SIEM rules to detect anomalies across OT network traffic on Splunk.
  • 2Drive NIST compliance by auditing OT device inventories and patch cycles.
  • 3Build incident runbooks for OT-specific threats like PLC manipulation and Modbus attacks.
  • 4Ship automated alerts and dashboards for OT metrics using Grafana and InfluxDB.
  • 5Debug OT-related access control issues in Active Directory and PAM tools.
  • 6Own security escalations from maritime crew and shore-based operators, triaging and resolving within SLAs.
  • 7Lead quarterly OT penetration tests with external partners and remediate findings.
  • 8Coordinate with SOC teams to align monitoring and response procedures for hybrid IT/OT environments.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years in information security, with at least 2+ years focused on OT/ICS environments.
  • 2Certified in CISSP or GICSP.
  • 3Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and EtherNet/IP protocols.
  • 4Proficient in Splunk or Elastic for log management and correlation.
  • 5Skilled in Python or PowerShell for threat detection automation.
  • 6Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK for ICS and NIST 800-82.
  • 7Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation in maritime or industrial settings.
  • 8B.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
