Customer Support Representative, Order Management & SAP
Overview
You will own order processing and customer issue resolution for a standard account base, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up on SAP transactions. You act as the communication bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams like Product Management, Quality, and Warehousing, handling credits, debits, returns, and Quality Notification Claims. Your work keeps customer satisfaction high in a role that balances detail with speed, and you'll support import/export accounts with minimal supervision. This position offers the chance to build deep SAP expertise while collaborating across departments to solve real customer problems.
What You'll Do8
- 1Process customer orders via SAP, EDI, email, or phone, verifying accuracy and entering them into the system within the first week.
- 2Resolve routine customer issues like order delays, back-orders, and returns by coordinating with Product Management, Quality, Transportation, and Warehousing teams.
- 3Build and maintain positive customer relationships, acting as the main point of contact for order status and adjustments.
- 4Communicate order changes and resolutions to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
- 5Handle customer complaints by working with the Complaints Specialist to implement corrective action plans.
- 6Update SAP master data with customer account changes, keeping records current and accurate.
- 7Support credits, debits, returns, and Quality Notification Claims processing as part of daily operations.
- 8Provide back-up coverage for team members during absences, covering their order queues and customer inquiries.
Requirements8
- 11+ years in customer service or order management, with SAP experience preferred.
- 2Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and updating customer data.
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams for communication and data tracking.
- 4Ability to manage multiple priorities in a volume-driven environment without losing focus.
- 5Effective verbal and written communication with customers and internal teams.
- 6Basic understanding of import/export documentation and shipping terms (e.g., Incoterms).
- 7High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business or related field a plus.
- 8Willingness to work onsite in New York, NY, with occasional overtime as needed.
