Customer Service Representative, Flooring & Design
Overview
You own the customer journey from first call to order delivery at Flooring America of Scottsdale, a high-volume flooring retailer in Phoenix. You guide clients through design choices, quote products, and track shipments to ensure every project lands on time. You work with the sales team and installers to resolve issues and keep the showroom running. This role suits someone who turns product knowledge into confident recommendations and owns the customer experience from start to finish.
What You'll Do8
- 1Handle customer inquiries over the phone and in person, helping with product selection and design ideas.
- 2Provide detailed information on flooring materials, pricing, and installation processes.
- 3Document and update customer records in our CRM after every interaction.
- 4Build and maintain a knowledge base of evolving products and services.
- 5Place orders for customers and track arrival dates, updating them on status.
- 6Resolve customer issues with orders or deliveries by coordinating with the warehouse team.
- 7Assist showroom visitors with samples and quotes, turning questions into sales.
- 8Follow up with customers post-delivery to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
Requirements6
- 11+ years experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
- 2Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
- 3Proven capacity to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- 4Professional and positive demeanor, with strong communication skills.
- 5Basic computer proficiency for order entry and record keeping.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent.
