Overview
As a Customer Service Engineer at Worldwide TechServices, you will own the repair and support of end-user computing devices across client sites in Chicago. You will handle PCs, laptops, desktops, tablets, and printers, performing basic to moderate troubleshooting and IMAC activities. You will provide desk-side support to client VIPs and ensure high customer satisfaction. This role demands strong technical skills, professional communication, and adherence to documented processes. You will maintain OEM certifications and follow ITIL methodologies in a dynamic service environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Troubleshoot and repair PCs, desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers in an end-user environment.
- 2Support client identified VIPs with priority desk-side assistance.
- 3Install new PC equipment and perform IMAC activities as requested by change management.
- 4Execute all assigned desk-side support tasks with professionalism and technical accuracy.
- 5Achieve customer service satisfaction targets and operational metrics set by guidelines.
- 6Proactively update end-users and service desk on arrival times, repair estimates, and status.
- 7Follow all documented service operations policies and procedures.
- 8Complete other duties and certifications as assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements9
- 12-4 years of relevant experience or technical school certification.
- 2Maintain required OEM certifications as directed by management.
- 3Knowledge of relevant software and hardware systems, including Windows and macOS.
- 4Understanding of ITIL methodologies.
- 5A+ certification is desired.
- 6Excellence in communication and customer-facing skills.
- 7Ability to follow instructions and processes with minimal supervision.
- 8Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
- 9Must own a basic repair kit.
