Overview
We seek an experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Shady Grove Medical Center. The role involves performing CT examinations and supporting radiologists while maximizing patient throughput. This position offers part-time rotating weekend shifts with opportunities to train new staff.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform CT examinations according to radiologist protocols using CT-scanner equipment
- 2Assist radiologists and staff with interventional procedures
- 3Identify contraindications for oral and intravenous contrast administration
- 4Select appropriate scanning protocols to ensure quality patient care
- 5Document patient information accurately in HIS RIS PACS Telelradiography systems
- 6Manage patient flow and transport logistics during peak hours
- 7Provide basic patient care services within the CT department
- 8Train new hires and students in CT procedures
- 9Maintain compliance with radiation safety regulations
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2AMA/JRCERT accredited radiography degree
- 3Minimum 1 year CT experience
- 4Maryland Radiation Technologist license
- 5ARRT Certified in CT
- 6Active American Heart Association BLS certification
