CT Technologist, Radiology & CT Imaging
Overview
You will perform CT scans on patients using GE and Siemens scanners, ensuring safe and accurate imaging for diagnosis. Working under the direction of the CT Scan Supervisor, you will join a team of radiologists and technologists at Mount Auburn Hospital, part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health system. What You'll Do9
- 1Perform CT scans of head, chest, abdomen, and extremities following department protocols and radiologist directives.
- 2Administer oral and intravenous contrast material, monitor IV lines, and log reactions in EPIC.
- 3Operate and calibrate CT equipment, including laser cameras, Medrad Injector, and Dinamap monitors.
- 4Take call shifts and respond to emergency scans within 45 minutes of notification.
- 5Train student radiographers and interact professionally with patients and staff.
- 6Maintain a productive workflow, stocking supplies and managing clerical tasks to minimize patient wait times.
- 7Adhere to Universal Precautions and attend annual OSHA and blood-borne pathogen training.
- 8Document each exam accurately in EPIC, achieving a 98% completion rate.
- 9Pursue continuing education to meet ARRT and MA State licensing standards.
Requirements7
- 1Two years of formal radiologic technology training.
- 2Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- 3Licensed in Radiography by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- 4Ability to stand, bend, and lift for 75% of the shift.
- 5Comfortable working with radiation and infectious materials, using protective gear.
- 6Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- 7Ability to work in confined spaces and focus on VDT screens up to 25% of the time.
