Overview
You will perform high-quality CT scans for diagnostic purposes at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, a key part of Mass General Brigham. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring optimal image quality.
- 2Position and immobilize patients to reduce radiation exposure and achieve clear diagnostic images.
- 3Review and verify patient information, including medical history and prior imaging studies, before scanning.
- 4Operate and calibrate CT equipment, troubleshooting issues and adhering to safety standards.
- 5Monitor patients during procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring their safety and comfort.
- 6Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretation of CT images and follow up on additional imaging requests.
- 7Document procedures, patient data, and imaging results accurately in the system.
- 8Enforce infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
Requirements8
- 1Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required.
- 2Radiologic Technologist state license required.
- 3ARRT certification in Radiography required.
- 4ARRT-CT certification in Computed Tomography preferred.
- 53-5 years of experience as a CT technologist in a hospital or imaging center.
- 62-3 years of experience with advanced CT procedures such as cardiac CT or trauma imaging preferred.
- 7Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting CT equipment.
- 8Knowledge of radiation safety practices and infection control procedures.
