What You'll Do11
- 1Process full knowledge of all CT scanners in Radiology Department
- 2Demonstrate radiologic principles and imaging techniques for daily operations
- 3Show complete working knowledge of department equipment
- 4Understand growth and development principles for age-specific procedures
- 5Complete required calibrations and follow QA guidelines
- 6Ensure radiation safety policies are followed for patient and staff protection
- 7Provide personal and patient safety according to written standards
- 8Use protective radiation techniques and monitor device positioning
- 9Practice universal precautions isolation and aseptic techniques
- 10Take initiative to solve problems and request coworker assistance
- 11Gather complete documentation for accurate patient service and form completion
Requirements11
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2ARRT certification required and advanced CT certification within 18 months
- 3RT Fl License and Certified Radiologic Technologist status
- 4BLS certification
- 5Competency in radiology CT protocols and patient positioning
- 6Ability to start IVs and administer contrast per protocols
- 7Basic knowledge of 3D reconstructions liver volumes PE studies and other exams
- 8Familiarity with invasive procedures and basic imaging techniques
- 9Associate degree in radiologic technology with CT discipline certification preferred
- 10One to two years hospital CT experience preferred
- 11Advanced CT training or experience preferred
