Construction Administrator Seattle Seeking Experienced Professional
Overview
The ideal candidate will lead on-site construction activities while collaborating with a supportive team at UC Berkeley. This full-time position runs through March 2029 and involves direct oversight of facility observations, contract administration, and payment processing. You will provide rapid responses to interpretation issues and review technical submissions to ensure compliance with construction documents. Your efforts will facilitate clear communication across stakeholders and drive successful project outcomes.
What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct on-site facility observations and monitor construction changes
- 2Manage payment requests and process change approvals promptly
- 3Review and evaluate RFIs and submittals to identify potential issues
- 4Coordinate with design team members to resolve construction problems
- 5Analyze shop drawings and issue corrective action reports for non-conforming work
- 6Collaborate with external consultants to achieve project objectives
- 7Serve as liaison between owner contractor and internal Flad team members
- 8Maintain detailed records of all technical communications and decisions
Requirements7
- 1Minimum five years of construction administration experience on large commercial projects utilizing concrete and steel
- 2Ten years preferred for senior-level roles
- 3Proven expertise in Revit and Bluebeam software
- 4Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based project management tools
- 5Bachelor's degree in architecture construction or related field
- 6Sustainability certification such as LEED or Green Globes preferred
- 7Registered Architect or Professional Engineer license in the United States
