Conference Services Manager, Hospitality & Events
Overview
Own the successful delivery of meetings and events from pre-arrival to post-departure in a hospitality setting. Drive client satisfaction and revenue through upselling and on-site opportunities. Lead planning, coordination, and execution with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event experiences.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage groups in the OPERA S&C system to streamline group logistics
- 2Plan and forecast catering needs for 30-60-90 day windows and communicate inputs weekly
- 3Prepare and review Banquet Event Orders and resumes for clients and operations to ensure accurate details and pricing
- 4Lead weekly BEO meetings with F&B leadership and operations to optimize budgets and sales goals
- 5Act as liaison between lodge and groups to ensure appropriate meeting space setup and on-site requests
- 6Create group resumes detailing purpose, room types, rates, VIPs, AV, and special instructions for departments
- 7Upsell and drive on-site revenue to meet monthly revenue targets
- 8Meet clients upon arrival and introduce key hotel staff to ensure smooth handoffs
- 9Communicate last minute changes to hotel staff and ensure follow-through on updates
- 10Conduct pre-convention meetings and handle conflict resolution related to billing or reservations
Requirements5
- 1Associates degree in hotel hospitality or related field
- 2Minimum 1 year in event conference planning or related hospitality experience
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 4Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
- 5Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
