Composites Technician, Entry Level Aerospace & Manufacturing
Overview
Own entry level aerospace composite production with hands on layup, tooling prep, and curing operations at a Mukilteo site. You will join a manufacturing team delivering carbon fiber components for aerospace programs. Youll work with prepregs, vacuum bagging, ovens, and inspection to ensure dimensional and quality standards. This role blends mechanical aptitude with safety minded, hands on work in a fast paced environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build hand layup of composite materials on molds per engineering specifications to achieve defect free parts
- 2Prepare tools, molds, and surfaces to ensure proper material adhesion and part quality
- 3Apply prepreg materials with accurate fiber orientation and ply placement
- 4Set up and execute vacuum bagging processes for curing operations
- 5Operate ovens and autoclaves in accordance with process and safety requirements
- 6Trim, drill, and finish parts to meet dimensional and quality standards
- 7Inspect components for defects and ensure compliance with specifications
- 8Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- 9Follow detailed manufacturing instructions and safety procedures
- 10Maintain workspace and document production activities
