Community Manager, Multi-Family Property Operations
Overview
You will own all business operations at one of our apartment communities, driving occupancy and revenue goals while leading a team of property staff. You report to a regional manager and collaborate with marketing and maintenance to ensure resident satisfaction. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead property staff, conducting candidate interviews, overseeing onboarding, training, and timesheet approval, and conducting quarterly discussions and annual assessments per company policy.
- 2Drive team to achieve performance indicators, offering feedback to underperforming associates and managing disciplinary actions with HR.
- 3Conduct ongoing training with office staff covering leasing paperwork, workplace safety, and daily operational needs.
- 4Motivate associates through recognition programs, training, and team-building activities to boost morale and productivity.
- 5Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to approved budgets, completing month-end and year-end financial reporting with variance within +/- 10% per line item.
- 6Promote resident satisfaction by promptly responding to complaints and resolving service issues, collaborating with maintenance to ensure timely completion of service requests.
- 7Analyze market and economic trends and partner with marketing to implement short- and long-range leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
- 8Follow eviction procedures, including notice requirements, court representation, and facilitating proceedings as needed.
- 9Manage the client/owner relationship by meeting with owners, conducting property tours, providing updates, and responding to requests to maintain a positive working relationship.
Requirements6
- 13+ years of related multi-family property management experience.
- 2Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- 3Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to train and develop staff.
- 4Professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 5Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software such as Yardi or RealPage.
- 6A current, valid Driver's License is required.
