Commissioning Program Manager, Infrastructure Delivery
Overview
You will own the operating systems behind OpenAI's infrastructure commissioning programs, including standards, processes, tools, and KPIs across a portfolio of data center campuses. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure delivery, program management, process design, and data. You will translate field execution needs into practical playbooks and dashboards that scale across projects. Working closely with commissioning and construction teams, you will drive clarity and consistency from construction readiness through testing and turnover. You will build systems that reduce friction and increase visibility, directly impacting the reliability of frontier AI infrastructure.
What You'll Do10
- 1Develop commissioning standards, playbooks, process maps, and stage gates for infrastructure projects.
- 2Establish consistent workflows for readiness, QA/QC, issue management, and document control.
- 3Define KPIs and build dashboards in Looker and Power BI to track readiness and turnover health.
- 4Own requirements for commissioning trackers and construction platforms like Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- 5Partner with field leads to implement practical processes that scale across projects.
- 6Monitor adoption and data quality; drive improvements as project needs evolve.
- 7Establish reporting cadences and craft executive-ready summaries of commissioning health.
- 8Pilot new tools and metrics on active projects, incorporate feedback, and scale successful approaches.
- 9Collaborate with data teams to improve automation and source-of-truth alignment.
- 10Capture lessons learned and incorporate them into future standards and workflows.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in program management, construction management, or infrastructure delivery.
- 2Hands-on experience with field work planning, tracking, and turnover in complex environments.
- 3Proven record developing SOPs, process maps, and templates for project teams.
- 4Comfort with data, metrics, and dashboards; ability to define meaningful KPIs.
- 5Working knowledge of commissioning, QA/QC, or testing processes; direct experience preferred.
- 6Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, CxAlloy, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, or Tableau.
- 7Strong systems thinking and ability to simplify complex workflows.
- 8Demonstrated ability to drive tool adoption across stakeholders without formal authority.
- 9Preferred: background in mission-critical infrastructure or data centers; credentials like PMP, Lean/Six Sigma, CxA, or QCxP are a plus.
