Commercial Concrete Estimator, Bids & Site Evaluation
Overview
Own the estimation lifecycle for commercial concrete projects from bid takeoffs through award. You will review specs, perform site visits, and develop detailed estimates reflecting labor, materials, equipment, and overhead at Temcon Concrete Construction in Phoenix. What You'll Do10
- 1Build bid packages and proposals for commercial concrete projects
- 2Develop quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications and maintain bid logs
- 3Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, and general contractors to refine scope
- 4Perform site visits to assess conditions and determine work needs
- 5Prepare schedules, phasing plans, and hard-bid estimates for final pricing decisions
- 6Revise bids with client feedback and support contract negotiations and award process
- 7Update and enhance bidding database and track ongoing changes with change orders
- 8Assist project management with estimating-related activities and safety in decision making
- 9Present and discuss estimates with upper management to secure pricing
- 10Support pre-bid meetings and maintain proactive bid follow-up
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 2 years of experience estimating commercial concrete projects
- 2Knowledge of cast in place concrete, footings, foundations, and site work
- 3Familiarity with form materials and rebar
- 4Ability to assemble scope with inclusions and exclusions
- 5Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- 6B2W Estimate software experience preferred
- 7Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
- 8Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- 9Strong communication and attention to detail
- 10Self-starter with interpersonal skills to fit company culture
