You own the full lifecycle of collision repair estimates for Tesla Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 vehicles at our Los Angeles facility. You set the pace of disassembly to expose all damage upfront, then direct technicians on repair versus replace decisions. You work with insurance adjusters to submit claims and ensure billing accuracy, while keeping customers informed throughout the process. This role sits on a world-class service team supporting the latest EV technology, with opportunities for cross-training into management roles.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Create repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 vehicles, focusing on technical precision, not sales.
  • 2Build repair plans in accordance with Tesla-specific repair procedures, ensuring every step meets factory standards.
  • 3Direct disassembly technicians on pace and scope to expose all damage upfront, reducing supplement delays.
  • 4Communicate with insurance companies to submit claims, negotiate adjustments, and close billing.
  • 5Direct collision technicians to attempt repairs where repair versus replace is unclear, following Tesla guidelines.
  • 6Update customers on vehicle progress via phone or in-person, providing clear timelines and expectations.
  • 7Manage final billing and delivery of vehicles, ensuring all work is documented and approved.

Requirements7

  • 15+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience, including CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell estimating software.
  • 2Knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements, including claim submission and negotiation.
  • 3Proficiency with computers and estimating platforms; advanced skills in Excel preferred.
  • 4Automotive knowledge and background, with willingness to cross-train for career advancement.
  • 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus strong customer service abilities.
  • 6I-CAR certification preferred.
  • 7Valid driver's license preferred.
