Own the full estimating process at Caliber Collision's Forestville Service Center, overseeing 20+ vehicles daily with repair costs ranging $1,500-$25,000. You'll write precise estimates using CCC1, coordinate with DRP partners, and keep customers informed from drop-off to delivery. This role sits in a high-volume shop with a team of 15 technicians and estimators, reporting to the Service Manager. What You'll Do8
- 1Write accurate estimates for collision damage using CCC1 estimating software, with repair costs up to $25,000
- 2Inspect damaged vehicles to identify all repairable and replaceable parts, aligning with OEM specifications
- 3Manage customer check-in, documenting existing damage and setting clear repair timelines
- 4Communicate vehicle status updates to customers via phone and email, addressing any concerns promptly
- 5Coordinate with insurance adjusters and DRP partners to finalize supplements and approvals
- 6Complete final paperwork, including invoices and total loss documentation, at vehicle delivery
- 7Review repair orders to ensure all operations are necessary and correctly priced
- 8Follow Caliber safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free workspace
Requirements6
- 12+ years of collision estimating experience, with a proven record of writing estimates using CCC1
- 2Valid Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraisers License
- 3Must be 21 years or older and possess a valid driver's license
- 4Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, with kneeling, bending, and squatting required
- 5Strong sales orientation with a track record of upselling additional services
- 6Advanced understanding of auto repair procedures, including frame straightening and paintless dent repair
