Medical billing and collections professional will own aging AR, denial management, and reimbursement optimization in a fast-paced healthcare revenue cycle at a Mount Laurel, NJ location. Work fully onsite with a collaborative team and opportunities to move from temporary to permanent roles. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and analyze aging AR reports to identify outstanding balances
  • 2Follow up on unpaid and denied claims to maximize reimbursement
  • 3Investigate payer denial trends and communicate findings to internal teams
  • 4Process insurance appeals and follow-up activities in a timely manner
  • 5Monitor and resolve patient and insurance credit balances and refund requests
  • 6Recommend and process account adjustments as appropriate
  • 7Verify insurance eligibility and benefits across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans
  • 8Identify underpayments and overpayments while monitoring credit balance reports
  • 9Negotiate payment arrangements with patients and follow up on missed payments
  • 10Assist with prior authorizations and supporting documentation requests

Requirements10

  • 1Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical accounts receivable, medical billing, collections, denial management, or healthcare revenue cycle operations
  • 2Proven experience resolving aging accounts receivable and collecting outstanding balances
  • 3Experience with medical claims processing and insurance verification
  • 4Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
  • 5Knowledge of insurance terminology, claims follow-up, and appeals processes
  • 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • 7Strong data entry, keyboarding, and computer navigation skills
  • 8Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • 9Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • 10Excellent verbal and written communication skills
