Sur La Table seeks a passionate Coffee Specialist to lead in-store coffee expertise and drive sales. - 3Educate customers on pour-over French Press AeroPress espresso cold brew and coffee art
- 4Guide customers in selecting coffee beans based on flavor profile roast level and origin
- 5Recommend appropriate coffee equipment and maintenance practices
- 6Promote and sell coffee products equipment and accessories
- 7Assist store in achieving revenue goals through education-driven customer engagement
- 8Consistently meet culinary program goals by delivering exceptional classes
- 9Partner with store leaders to align culinary programming with store priorities
- 10Collaborate on merchandising strategies featuring class tools and products
- 11Ensure compliance with food safety standards local health codes and sanitation regulations
- 12Maintain coffee-ready store environment ensuring quality across brewing methods
- 13Keep accurate inventory levels minimize shrink and control supply expenses
- 14Ensure store safety and cleanliness addressing maintenance needs promptly
- 15Record time accurately according to SLT Policy
- 16Model and enforce Sur La Table policies and SOPs
- 17Communicate verbally work cooperatively with associates and customers
- 18Remain standing for up to 4 hours direct class participants while selling and retrieving merchandise
- 19Differentiate flavor intensity and quality using taste or smell
- 20Retrieve replenish merchandise using physical movements and handle up to 50 lbs
- 21Operate computers POS systems keyboards scanners and mouse
- 22Work flexible 12-16 hours weekly including nights weekends and holidays
- 23Attend regularly with flexibility adjusting class assignments to meet demand
- 24Create engaging hands-on experiences for customers
- 25Demonstrate strong communication problem-solving and decision-making skills
- 26Engage community and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- 27Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred
