Overview
We seek a licensed Co-Occurring Disorder Counselor to deliver outpatient substance use disorder and mental health treatment services on an independent contractor basis. The role spans two organizations providing community-based care. Compensation is fee-for-service with flexible engagement options.
What You'll Do11
- 1Credentialed to provide outpatient substance use disorder treatment with Lighthouse Behavioral Health Center
- 2Credentialed to provide outpatient mental health disorder treatment with Community Wellness Outpatient Mental Health Center
- 3Facilitate individual family and group counseling sessions and diagnostic evaluations
- 4Conduct make-up sessions for missed appointments
- 5Complete daily documentation in ICANotes before service window ends
- 6Adhere to COMAR regulations and professional licensing requirements
- 7Maintain accurate records per CARF Medicaid and CLINICAL model fidelity standards
- 8Submit detailed invoices reflecting services rendered per schedule
- 9Coordinate care with program staff and external providers
- 10Perform monthly treatment plan reviews and six-month reassessments
- 11Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed
Requirements9
- 1Valid Maryland licensure including LCADC LGADC CAC-AD or equivalent
- 2Experience credentialing independent contractor status for behavioral health roles
- 3Proven ability to deliver evidence-based substance abuse and mental health treatments
- 4Familiarity with ICANotes documentation system
- 5Knowledge of COMAR Medicaid compliance and documentation timelines
- 6Ability to allocate 40 hours weekly across two client assignments
- 7Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 8Experience working in community-based mental health settings
- 9Self-management skills for tax filing and professional liability insurance
