CNC Mill Programmer Vu Enterprise Inc
Overview
Produces CNC programs and assists machinists in set up operation and troubleshooting of parts. Reports to Shop Manager. Develops CNC programs using company provided modeling and programming software based on drawings. Analyzes drawings to calculate dimensions for cutting which tools to use and determines machine speeds and feed rates. Monitors machinist progress provides advice on adjustments to keep parts within specifications. Backs up all programs to the company server daily. Plans machining tolerances and sequences by studying work orders sample parts blueprints engineering plans materials specifications orthographic drawings reference planes surface locations and machining parameters. Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances GD&T. Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions including zero and reference points setting tool registers offsets compensation and conditional switches calculating requirements including basic math geometry and trigonometry proving part programs. Sets up or assists with set ups on mills and lathes installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks tools attachments collets bushings cams gears stops and stock pushers indicating vices. Selects appropriate tools machines and materials monitors feed and speed during machining maintains specifications by observing drilling grooving and cutting taking measurements detecting malfunctions troubleshooting processes adjusting and reprogramming controls sharpening and replacing worn tools adhering to quality assurance procedures. Conferences with engineering supervisory or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information. Operates equipment to verify operational efficiency. Maintains safe operations adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating action. Executes other reasonable duties as directed by supervisors. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Requirements10
- 15+ years of FANUC programming experience with Mastercam and Edgecam
- 2Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities uses time efficiently plans for additional resources sets goals and objectives

- 8Preferred - Fluent in English Spanish and/or Vietnamese
