Overview

You own CNC mill programming and operation for a 40,000-square-foot prototype shop producing tight-tolerance parts for medical device, aerospace, defense, and high-tech clients. You program 3- and 5-axis mills with Gibbscam, handle setups, and machine parts from print to finished product. The work is short-run, mostly 1-2 pieces, with some runs up to 50 pieces. You join a team of machinists in a clean, ISO 9001 certified facility with modern Haas equipment. This role offers flexible shifts, paid further training, and a growth-oriented culture.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Program 3- and 5-axis CNC mills with Gibbscam for prototype and short-run production.
  • 2Complete machine setups: tooling selection, tool changes, and part fixturing for multiple jobs daily.
  • 3Execute touch-offs, G- and M-code edits, and on-machine adjustments to maintain part quality.
  • 4Interpret engineering prints and customer specs to machine parts from print to finished product.
  • 5Machine plastics, aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium while holding tight tolerances.
  • 6Run short-run jobs: 1-2 pieces up to 50-piece production runs.
  • 7Follow ISO 9001 quality standards and shop procedures for medical and aerospace components.

Requirements7

  • 13+ years programming and running CNC mills in a prototype or short-run job shop.
  • 2Proficiency with Gibbscam or similar CAM software for 3- and 5-axis programming.
  • 3Ability to perform full CNC mill setups: tooling, fixturing, tool changes, and offsets.
  • 4Skilled in reading engineering drawings to produce accurate components.
  • 5Experience with Haas machines and G- and M-code editing.
  • 6Knowledge of materials like titanium, stainless steel, and plastics.
  • 7Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards.
