Overview
You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality parts at a Raleigh manufacturing facility. You will read blueprints, load materials, monitor machine operations, and perform inspections with precision measuring instruments. What You'll Do9
- 1Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce parts within tolerance and per production schedules.
- 2Read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining operations and specifications.
- 3Load raw materials and tooling into machines and verify setup before production runs.
- 4Monitor machine operations and adjust offsets to maintain dimensional and quality standards.
- 5Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- 6Change tooling and perform routine maintenance to keep machines running reliably.
- 7Document production and quality data accurately on work orders and logs.
- 8Troubleshoot machine issues and escalate to supervisors as needed to minimize downtime.
- 9Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to prevent hazards.
Requirements9
- 11+ years of CNC machining experience required.
- 2Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- 3Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and quality inspection procedures.
- 4Experience using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- 5Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- 6Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls preferred.
- 7Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- 8Excellent attendance and reliability.
- 9Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
