What You'll Do8
- 1Set up Mazak and Haas machines for production components, including tooling and work offsets.
- 2Machine standard and special components to spec using Mazatrol and conversational programming.
- 3Inspect components in process with micrometers, calipers, and gauges to hold tight tolerances.
- 4Complete secondary operations like deburring, tapping, or assembly as required.
- 5Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC equipment to prevent downtime.
- 6Maintain stock of shop tooling and update drawings with necessary changes.
- 7Monitor production schedules and ship dates, and flag potential delays to management.
- 8Train and supervise fellow machinists when needed, sharing best practices.
Requirements8
- 12+ years operating CNC mills and lathes with live tooling.
- 2Hands-on programming with Mazatrol and conversational methods.
- 3Experience with Haas controls and setups.
- 4Proven ability to read blueprints and GD&T symbols.
- 5Skilled in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
- 6Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long shifts.
- 7Willing to work day or night shift and overtime as needed.
- 8Basic hand tools to start; company offers payroll deduction for additional tools after 90 days.
