CNC Machinist – Expert Level Pay $35-$55/hr
Overview
We seek an experienced CNC Machinist to program and operate precision B-axis equipment. The role involves developing MasterCAM programs interpreting GD&T and ensuring high-quality outputs. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $22 to $55 per hour.
What You'll Do9
- 1Program and set up CNC machines including B-axis mills and multi-axis equipment
- 2Develop and edit CNC programs using MasterCAM verifying toolpaths and optimizing cycle times
- 3Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols to determine machining requirements
- 4Perform first-article inspections and routine quality checks using CMM calipers micrometers and gauges
- 5Troubleshoot machining issues adjusting tooling and feeds/speeds implementing corrective actions
- 6Maintain production documentation tooling lists and program revisions communicating changes to the team
- 7Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to improve processes reduce scrap and increase throughput
- 8Follow safety protocols maintain clean workstations and log machine maintenance
- 9Utilize precision measurement tools and quality inspection methods
Requirements10
- 13+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience with B-axis multi-axis machines
- 2Proficiency in CNC programming using MasterCAM
- 3Strong understanding of GD&T principles
- 4Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- 5Experience with precision measurement instruments such as CMM
- 6Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- 7Good communication skills for effective teamwork
- 8Current US work authorization without sponsorship
- 9Experience with Lean or Kaizen practices preferred
- 10Willingness to relocate to Atlanta Georgia
