What You'll Do7
- 1Set up and operate CNC equipment across multiple platforms, from desktop to industrial machines
- 2Load and verify CNC programs, install tooling, configure fixtures, and establish work offsets
- 3Run first-piece checks and adjust setups to meet exact dimensional requirements
- 4Perform routine machine maintenance, diagnose issues like tool wear or chatter, and keep tooling in good condition
- 5Use precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and CMMs to confirm parts meet specifications
- 6Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T notes, and manufacturing docs to guide production
- 7Collaborate with CAM programmers and stakeholders to improve setups and manufacturability
Requirements7
- 1Minimum of 5 years hands-on CNC machining with both setup and production experience
- 2Strong expertise with Haas control systems (VF-2 or equivalent)
- 3Familiarity with hobbyist desktop CNC platforms (e.g., Makera Carvera) is highly preferred
- 4Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and using advanced measurement tools
- 5Experience working with metals and plastics and across a range of geometries
- 6Clear written and spoken communication in English for documentation and feedback
- 7Proven ability to troubleshoot processes, optimize setups, and maintain a clean, safe workspace
