What You'll Do10
- 1Escort nursing home residents to and from scheduled medical appointments.
- 2Accompany residents to doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
- 3Remain with residents throughout their appointments as required.
- 4Assist residents with wheelchairs, mobility devices, transfers, and positioning.
- 5Ensure residents remain safe, comfortable, and supervised while traveling and waiting.
- 6Bring necessary resident paperwork and appointment documentation.
- 7Return appointment paperwork and relevant information to nursing staff after each visit.
- 8Communicate concerns or changes in resident conditions to appropriate nursing staff.
- 9Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality, following HIPAA and facility policies.
- 10Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude with residents, families, and staff.
Requirements8
- 1Active New York State CNA certification required and in good standing.
- 21+ years experience in nursing homes, skilled nursing, or assisted living preferred.
- 3Experience working with elderly residents preferred.
- 4Ability to safely assist with wheelchairs, transfers, and mobility needs.
- 5Demonstrated dependability and punctuality.
- 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
