Overview
As a Client Service Coordinator at Banfield Pet Hospital, you will drive client and pet flow through the hospital, maximizing the productivity of the veterinary medical team. You will be the first and last impression for clients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience that encourages return visits and referrals. You will coordinate the care of clients and pets, manage administrative functions, and educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventative care. What You'll Do9
- 1Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- 2Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.
- 3Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support the needs of our wellness plan clients.
- 4Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, including encouraging hospital visits, welcoming clients and pets, ensuring they are comfortable, and educating them about their pet's health.
- 5Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services.
- 6Assist incoming clients by completing the required documentation, entering all pet information and history in the computer, utilizing proper collars and tags for identification, and ensuring prompt service.
- 7Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian's instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.
- 8Manage the finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures.
- 9Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
Requirements10
- 11+ years experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
- 21+ years experience with computer systems, including data entry and scheduling software.
- 3Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- 4Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 5Demonstrated customer focus and the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets.
- 6Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- 9Commitment to providing exceptional client service and upholding the Five Principles of Mars, Inc.
- 10Experience with Optimum Wellness Plans and preventative care is a plus.
