Overview
Barings seeks a Senior Associate/Associate Director to lead client portfolio management for Emerging Markets Debt within our Global Client Group. This role focuses on driving business development and client servicing while contributing to a $15B+ sovereign debt platform. The ideal candidate collaborates with investment teams to grow assets under management through strategic client engagement and market insights.
What You'll Do8
- 1Develop and maintain marketing materials including pitch books and market updates
- 2Lead EMD market and strategy communications to clients and prospects
- 3Manage new business initiatives and prioritize EMD projects
- 4Collaborate with investment teams to enhance investment knowledge
- 5Respond promptly to client requests and participate in RFP processes
- 6Stay updated on market trends and competitor intelligence
- 7Present using PowerPoint and Excel with attention to detail
- 8Utilize AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to improve workflow efficiency
Requirements7
- 1University degree with 3-7 years relevant experience in investment management
- 2Proven expertise in Emerging Markets Debt and fixed income strategies
- 3Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 4Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a team environment
- 5Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- 6Willingness to obtain CFA designation and FINRA licenses
- 7Passion for financial markets with analytical problem-solving approach
