Claims Representative, Liability & BI Claims
Overview
You will own low-level general liability claims, determining benefits and negotiating settlements for a dedicated client account. You join a global claims team of 33,000 colleagues, handling claims across BI and premises liability with direct client interaction. What You'll Do9
- 1Gather claim information to determine liability exposure and assign reserve values.
- 2Settle claims up to your designated authority level and make claim payments.
- 3Develop action plans for claims resolution, including return-to-work coordination.
- 4Approve and process assigned claims, determining benefits per contract.
- 5Administer subrogation and negotiate settlements with claimants and clients.
- 6Document claim files and ensure coding accuracy.
- 7Process low-level medical claims with state filings and treatment decisions.
- 8Maintain client relationships and support quality programs.
- 9Travel as required for claims investigations.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of claims management experience or equivalent combination.
- 2High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
- 4Home state license preferred, obtain upon employment.
- 5Clear thinking, problem solving, and discretion in high-pressure situations.
- 6Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- 7Computer keyboarding and travel as required.
