Civil Project Manager, Site Development & PE
Overview
You will own site design and permitting for commercial, residential, institutional, retail, and educational land developments across Pennsylvania. Working with a multidisciplinary team at Chester Valley Engineers, you will manage projects from concept through construction, ensuring stormwater management, erosion control, and utility design meet regulatory standards. This role demands a Professional Engineer license and offers direct impact on project timelines and client satisfaction.
What You'll Do7
- 1Lead site layout, grading, and utility design for commercial and residential land developments.
- 2Develop stormwater management and erosion and sedimentation control plans in compliance with PA regulations.
- 3Submit and manage permits for sanitary sewer and other infrastructure through municipal and state agencies.
- 4Coordinate with clients, contractors, and reviewing authorities to resolve design and construction issues.
- 5Mentor junior engineers and oversee drafting tasks using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- 6Track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
- 7Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
Requirements6
- 16-12 years of responsible experience in site development, preferably in Pennsylvania.
- 2Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
- 3Active PE registration required.
- 4Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 6Ability to work in a team environment.
