Civil Engineer, Site Development & Design
Overview
You'll design site layouts for commercial, residential, and institutional projects at Chester Valley Engineers. Your work will cover grading, utility design, and stormwater management, with AutoCAD and Civil 3D as your core tools. You'll collaborate with a team of engineers in our Paoli or Eagle offices, handling permitting and ensuring project compliance from concept to approval. This role offers hands-on experience across diverse project types and direct exposure to full site development cycles.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design site layouts, grading, and utility plans for commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
- 2Prepare stormwater management designs and erosion and sedimentation control plans for permitting.
- 3Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create detailed engineering drawings and models.
- 4Coordinate with project managers and drafters to ensure design accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- 5Assist in preparing permit applications and responding to client and agency comments.
- 6Conduct field visits to verify site conditions and support construction phase activities.
Requirements6
- 12-4 years of experience in site development design for commercial or residential projects.
- 2Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- 3E.I.T. certification is preferred.
- 4Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 6Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
