What You'll Do10

  • 1Build project documentation including plans, specifications, and engineer estimates to support bid and construction

  • 3Lead coordination with clients, contractors, and project team members to advance multiple projects within budget
  • 4Prepare scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules to ensure project milestones are met
  • 5Attend project meetings and present engineering assignments and progress to stakeholders
  • 6Assist with proposals, bid documents, and studies to win and execute transportation projects
  • 7Evaluate existing designs and adapt standard techniques and criteria to project requirements
  • 8Contribute to ensuring compliance with Florida DOT design requirements and funding rules
  • 9Support construction oversight and field decisions to maintain project integrity
  • 10Collaborate with team to deliver safe, feasible, and compliant roadways and trails

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 25-8 years of experience
  • 3Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads
  • 4Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word
  • 5Knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation roadway design requirements and Federal/State funding
  • 6Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, and clients
  • 7Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up with minimal supervision
  • 8Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • 9Florida Professional Engineer licensure or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire
  • 10No supervisory responsibilities
