We seek a Civil Project Engineer II/III Roadway Design specialist to lead design efforts within our Transportation Design Group. This role involves designing project components using industry-standard tools and delivering solutions at scale. What You'll Do9
- 1Design project elements using industry-standard software and AutoDesk Civil 3D
- 2Perform calculations and problem-solving using engineering formulas
- 3Prepare detailed specifications through research and manufacturing catalogs
- 4Complete design details and prepare comprehensive plan sets
- 5Conduct field observations and collect project data under supervision
- 6Communicate findings with clients and internal teams as directed
- 7Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates
- 8Support documentation for project completion and inspections
- 9Collaborate with senior engineers on technical deliverables
Requirements6
- 15+ years experience in transportation civil engineering roadway design
- 2Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering or related field
- 3Bentley OpenRoads Designer proficiency required
- 4AutoDesk Civil 3D proficiency preferred
- 5VDOT experience preferred
- 6EIT certification preferred
