You will own the guest experience at Ghirardelli's flagship location, blending retail sales and fountain service. You'll manage cash, stock premium chocolate, and craft sundaes and shakes, all while maintaining our POS and Food Safety standards. What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver exceptional guest service, from greeting to upselling premium chocolate and fountain items.
- 2Operate the POS system for accurate cash handling and credit card processing.
- 3Assemble proprietary retail items and gift-wrap purchases per Recipe Guidelines.
- 4Stock retail product on the sales floor and back stock, ensuring proper pricing and signage.
- 5Maintain fountain area: set up, replenish toppings, manage ice cream levels, and break down per Food Safety guidelines.
- 6Clean and sanitize all surfaces, serve ware, floors, and trash receptacles, plus windows and mirrors.
- 7Learn and apply product knowledge, including Ghirardelli history, to answer guest questions and drive upsells.
- 8Support the team as a 'Topper' or 'Scooper', including semi-table service duties.
Requirements8
- 118+ years old, with high school diploma preferred.
- 21+ year retail or restaurant experience, including cash handling and customer service.
- 3Basic math skills for cash transactions and inventory counts.
- 4Strong oral and written communication skills for team coordination and guest interaction.
- 5Ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends, with flexibility for prep and cleaning hours.
- 6Ability to work independently and with a diverse team, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- 7Certification in Food Safety (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
- 8Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
