Shift Supervisor, Milkshake & Chocolate Retail
Overview
You will own shift operations at MilkShake Factory's first Massachusetts store, ensuring every shake, sundae, and dipped chocolate meets brand standards. You lead a team of 3-5 crew members during peak hours, balancing customer delight with cash management and food safety. This role trains you as a chocolate-tasting expert with no grills or grease. You'll grow with a century-old brand expanding into Greater Boston, with tip share and advancement opportunities.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead opening and closing duties, rallying the team to meet shift targets and maintain a spotless store.
- 2Train team members on recipes, presentation, and service, giving real-time feedback on performance.
- 3Craft milkshakes, sundaes, and dipped chocolates per spec while keeping quality consistent.
- 4Handle customer complaints with calm and turn issues into positive experiences.
- 5Boost sales by sampling products, recommending favorites, and executing subtle upselling.
- 6Organize stockrooms, coolers, and freezers, rotating products and refreshing signage for seasonal promotions.
- 7Enforce cash management policies flawlessly at the register and during bank drops.
- 8Keep a safety-first mindset, following food safety protocols and maintaining a hazard-free floor.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 21+ years in customer service and cash handling
- 31+ years leading or delegating tasks in a fast-paced team
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 5Ability to judge business activity and adjust labor coverage
- 6Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for milkshake assembly
- 7Must stand and walk up to 4 hours per shift, bend, stoop, reach, and lift 25 pounds
- 8Flexible schedule covering early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
