Chinese Community Admissions Liaison

Stephen S. Wise Temple seeks a bilingual admissions liaison who will serve as a bridge between the school and Mandarin-speaking families. The role involves delivering effective communications in Mandarin and English while supporting families through the admissions process. This position emphasizes cultural competency and relationship building within the local community.
What You'll Do11
- 1Serve as a bilingual admissions liaison conducting informational meetings and campus tours in both languages
- 2Communicate admissions requirements and enrollment timelines accurately to families
- 3Develop relationships with Chinese community organizations and cultural associations
- 4Represent the school at community events and outreach opportunities
- 5Assist families with culturally responsive guidance throughout the application process
- 6Collaborate with Admissions and Marketing teams to create Mandarin-language marketing materials
- 7Maintain accurate records of family interactions using school systems
- 8Track outreach activities and admissions metrics
- 9Promote the school's educational programs and community through Mandarin outreach
- 10Act as a role model embodying the temple's faith values in daily interactions
- 11Handle additional duties as assigned

- 1Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English with spoken and written proficiency
- 2Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- 3Demonstrated cultural competency for diverse Mandarin-speaking families
- 4Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities
- 5Proficiency with social media and digital communication tools
- 6Flexible part-time availability including evenings and weekends
- 7Experience in admissions, enrollment, or community outreach
- 8Familiarity with WeChat and other platforms used by Mandarin-speaking communities
- 9Ability to translate or adapt written materials between languages
- 10Physical stamina to stand and walk during events
- 11Manual dexterity for computer use and occasional lifting of 10–25 lbs
