Childcare Assistant Director, Early Learning Center & Community Engagement
Overview
Own daily operations for a multi-site childcare program, ensuring licensing compliance and program quality at scale. Lead staff development, enrollment growth, and family communication across a network of centers. Collaborate with state regulators and the community to uphold safety, curriculum excellence, and high-touch family service. This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to drive outcomes in quality, enrollment, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead teacher recruitment, interviewing and onboarding to build a strong talent pipeline and ensure staffing targets.
- 2Observe classrooms, evaluate performance and provide feedback to maintain high-quality instruction and alignment with brand standards.
- 3Coach and develop staff using a growth mindset to advance classroom practice and program quality.
- 4Schedule and manage weekly operations to maintain appropriate ratios and labor costs.
- 5Ensure licensing compliance, maintain required records, and coordinate with state regulators and inspections.
- 6Oversee family engagement by conducting tours, enrolling families, and communicating student progress.
- 7Administer center communications through the Show and Tell App and other channels for parent updates.
- 8Maintain safety, health, and environmental standards and conduct monthly emergency drills.
- 9Monitor budgets, P&L implications and labor percentages while optimizing resources for multiple centers.
Requirements8
- 1Two or more years of center leadership/management experience preferred or at least one year required.
- 2Infant–preschool teaching experience preferred
- 3Strong knowledge of Georgia Bright from the Start licensing rules and regulations
- 4CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- 5Excellent organizational and leadership skills with strong customer service and communication abilities
- 6Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and work well under pressure
- 7Enthusiastic, adaptable and hands-on leader with professional conduct
- 8Experience managing records and documentation for licensing and enrollment
Salary Insight
$37 - $42k per year
