Overview

You will own the daily classroom experience for 20+ preschool children at Tiny Treasures Academy, a trusted Atlanta institution for over a decade. What You'll Do8

  • 1Design and deliver daily lesson plans that target emotional, social, and cognitive milestones, using Creative Curriculum and state early learning standards.
  • 2Build a safe, inclusive classroom where children explore through centers, sensory activities, and guided play, reinforcing positive behavior with Responsive Classroom techniques.
  • 3Track each child's progress through Teaching Strategies GOLD assessments, documenting observations and sharing insights with families at conferences.
  • 4Partner with parents during drop-off, pick-up, and scheduled meetings to align on developmental goals and address concerns collaboratively.
  • 5Create a stimulating environment that rotates materials weekly to spark curiosity and engagement, aligning with NAEYC accreditation standards.
  • 6Supervise and mentor 2-3 assistant teachers and volunteers, modeling effective teaching strategies and providing constructive feedback.
  • 7Maintain full compliance with Georgia Bright from the Start regulations, including child-to-staff ratios, health and safety protocols, and record keeping.
  • 8Participate in quarterly professional development sessions and obtain CPR and First Aid certification within your first month.

Requirements8

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or 2+ years of documented experience in a licensed preschool.
  • 22+ years of lead teacher experience in a preschool setting, with a track record of fostering positive child outcomes.
  • 3Valid state teaching license or CDA credential in early childhood education.
  • 4Strong grasp of child development principles and DAP (Developmentally Appropriate Practice) as outlined by NAEYC.
  • 5Excellent communication skills to engage children, families, and colleagues, including the ability to write clear progress reports.
  • 6Proven ability to create an inclusive classroom culture that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • 7CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • 8Demonstrated passion for early childhood education, with references from previous teaching roles.
