Child Educator Assistant - Gilbert Public Schools
Overview
Support Child Educator and classroom teachers to plan and direct recreational educational activities aligned with Arizona Early Learning Standards. Ensure positive interactions safety and manage preschool-aged children. Maintain compliance with AZDHS regulations and promote cooperation learning enjoyment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Work with Child Educator and classroom teacher to arrange classroom environment using ECRS framework
- 2Assist with daily attendance records scheduling activities and snack distribution
- 3Help train and mentor other assistants student workers and visiting instructors
- 4Assist with set up and takedown of centers including lifting tables chairs and boxes
- 5May act as Child Educator to cover during absences
- 6Provide daily care for students needing assistance with toileting dressing or medication administration
- 7Ensure quality indicators of AZ Case Quality First Standards accreditation
- 8Attend meetings professional development and training sessions
- 9Complete required 24 hours of yearly AZDHS licensing training
- 10Support staff with administrative duties and purposeful work activities
- 11Maintain safe positive interactions with children parents and community members

- 1Mental Requirements Learning Development Level B sufficient to read technical information perform basic arithmetic and understand procedures
