What You'll Do18
- 1Provide direct care and supervision to youth ensuring safety and emotional well-being
- 2Supervise youth during all activities including campus escorts and off-ground programming
- 3Apply behavior management techniques using TCI and agency trainings
- 4Support individualized treatment plans alongside clinical staff
- 5Teach daily living skills and emotional regulation in group and one-on-one settings
- 6Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and incidents
- 7Conduct Life Space Interviews and related assessments
- 8Foster positive structured environment promoting healthy coping mechanisms
- 9Communicate effectively with staff and professionals for cohesive care
- 10Participate in team meetings providing feedback on client behavior and progress
- 11Model appropriate behavior and mentor youth as needed
- 12Manage crisis interventions following established protocols
- 13Inspect and maintain cottage safety removing hazards
- 14Report code of conduct violations immediately to supervisors
- 15Serve as bus monitor ensuring youth safety during transportation
- 16Supervise residents in daily activities and coordinate recreational programs
- 17Implement PBIS system and uphold ROAR core values
- 18Drive agency vehicle when certified as part of program delivery
Requirements11
- 1High School Diploma or GED required
- 2Safe driving record verified by NYS Department of Motor Vehicles
- 3Minimum five years experience in residential treatment or special education with three years in supervisory roles
- 4Proven experience working with emotionally challenged children or adolescents
- 5Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for residential programs
- 6Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- 7Ability to manage complex cases and provide crisis intervention
- 8Commitment to inclusive therapeutic environment
- 9Authorized to work in the United States
- 10Available to work in-person in New York City at least three days weekly
- 11Willing to travel to other Rising Ground locations when required
