What You'll Do9
- 1Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, following weld procedures and blueprints.
- 2Fabricate and weld sub frames, bumpers, fall protection on tanks, pipe, and mount bracket supports in a shop environment.
- 3Layout, cut, and fit piping modules using measuring tapes, bandsaws, grinders, and hand tools from shop sketches and blueprints.
- 4Weld joints, bolt up valves, and other equipment on scaffolds or aerial lifts with proper fall protection.
- 5Operate a hydraulic plate shear and press brake to prepare materials for welding, ensuring accurate dimensions.
- 6Inspect finished welds for quality and compliance with specifications, tagging out defective equipment.
- 7Maintain a safe and organized work area, keeping tools and equipment clean and reporting any deficiencies.
- 8Work independently and with the team, coordinating with shop superintendents and safety inspectors.
- 9Complete welding tests and follow safety protocols, including respiratory protection when required.
Requirements9
- 11+ years of welding experience, with a welding test required.
- 2High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3MIG welding certification required; TIG preferred but willing to train.
- 4Ability to read blueprints and layout materials accurately.
- 5Comfortable working at heights with fall protection and wearing a respirator if needed.
- 6Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- 7Punctual and safety-focused, with reliable attendance.
- 8Pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
- 9Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
