What You'll Do10
- 1Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- 2Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, verifying accuracy and checking for drug interactions.
- 3Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medications, then verify the medication and dosage.
- 4Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to the Quality Improvement Program.
- 5Register sales on the assigned cash register, collect cash, and handle transactions per Walgreens policies.
- 6Process and resubmit manual third-party claims using pharmacy systems efficiently.
- 7Assist with inventory management: order, unpack, check, and store pharmaceutical shipments, and file claims for discrepancies.
- 8Support clinical services by collecting and labeling blood/urine samples when needed.
- 9Coordinate with pharmacists to maintain relationships with local medical providers through outreach activities.
- 10Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department, ensuring supplies are stocked.
Requirements8
- 1PTCB certification required (or obtain within training program).
- 26+ months of retail experience preferred.
- 3Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- 4Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- 5Basic math skills for accurate counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- 6Good computer skills for pharmacy systems and data entry.
- 7Knowledge of inventory control procedures is a plus.
