Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Avir at White Rock
Overview
You will provide CNA care to residents at Avir at White Rock in Dallas, Texas, owning daily living assistance for a skilled nursing facility. You will work with a dedicated healthcare team, reporting to nursing leadership, to support resident safety and dignity. What You'll Do8
- 1Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other daily living activities within your first week.
- 2Provide toileting assistance and turn and reposition residents every two hours to prevent pressure ulcers.
- 3Answer call lights promptly and courteously to assess resident needs within 5 minutes.
- 4Assist residents with walking and transportation, using a gait belt for all transfers and ambulation.
- 5Monitor vital signs, weights, and intake and output daily, documenting accurately in the system.
- 6Provide catheter care as required, following infection control protocols.
- 7Maintain a clean and safe environment, disposing of waste and restocking supplies daily.
- 8Document care provided in the EHR, ensuring compliance with Texas Nurse Aide Registry standards.
Requirements7
- 1Listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry or become certified within 4 months of hire.
- 21+ year experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- 3Ability to work independently, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
- 4Patience, tact, and a positive attitude with residents, families, and staff.
- 5Comfort working with residents who are ill, disabled, elderly, or at times upset.
- 6Physical ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and safely assist with resident transfers.
- 7Must pass a background check and drug screening.
