Overview

Owns case management and counseling within a licensed Transitional Residential Treatment program serving adults with co occurring mental health and substance use challenges. Scale across multiple sites in the Bay Area with collaboration from an interdisciplinary team. This role focuses on recovery, community integration, and person centered care in a dynamic nonprofit setting. What makes this role unique is direct engagement with complex cases and on site operations nights Fridays through Mondays.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build comprehensive assessments of clients mental health needs strengths and goals
  • 2Develop individualized rehabilitation plans with clients using person centered approaches and evidence based practices
  • 3Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health symptoms coping skills and life skills
  • 4Implement behavioral interventions and therapeutic techniques to support recovery goals
  • 5Monitor and evaluate client progress regularly adjusting plans to ensure effectiveness
  • 6Coordinate with psychiatrists nurses case managers and community partners for holistic care
  • 7Facilitate psychoeducational workshops on stress management conflict resolution and relapse prevention
  • 8Advocate for clients rights and access to housing employment and healthcare services
  • 9Maintain accurate timely documentation of interactions treatment plans and progress notes
  • 10Participate in staff meetings case conferences and training to enhance program effectiveness

Requirements10

  • 1AA degree and six years of experience in a mental health setting
  • 2BA degree and four years of experience in a mental health setting
  • 3Certification in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies CATC CADC or CODC
  • 4Master s degree plus 2 years of experience in a mental health setting
  • 5Must have experience working with adults with serious mental health symptoms and co occurring disorders
  • 6Must be able to meet criminal records clearance as required by law and agency practices
  • 7Must pass post offer pre employment physical and TB clearance as required by state licensing standards
  • 8Valid driver s license reliable personal vehicle and auto insurance and MVR sufficient to maintain insurability
  • 9Local travel required to fulfill primary job responsibilities
  • 10Passion for the BHI mission
