Caregiver / Home Care Aide, Austin TX (Non-Medical)
Overview
You will provide non-medical care to seniors in their own homes across Austin, helping with daily tasks and companionship. Willow Home Care is a small, locally owned agency, and you will join a close-knit team where the owner knows your name. Starting pay is $18-$20 per hour, among the best in the city, and we offer paid orientation, skills check, and ongoing support.
What You'll Do7
- 1Keep clients company and be a reliable, friendly presence during every shift.
- 2Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting with respect and dignity.
- 3Prepare simple meals and keep the home tidy to support a safe living environment.
- 4Help clients move safely, including transfers from bed to chair and using mobility aids.
- 5Remind clients to take medications as scheduled, without administering any medications.
- 6Drive clients to appointments, errands, and social outings using your own insured vehicle.
- 7Monitor client safety and well-being, reporting any changes to the office promptly.
Requirements8
- 1Be 18+ years old and legally authorized to work in the US.
- 2Show kindness, patience, and reliability, as these are core to the role.
- 3Hold a valid driver's license, insured car, and a clean driving record for client transport.
- 4Pass a background check and state registry check as required by Texas HHSC.
- 5Pass a drug screen before starting, as we are a drug-free workplace.
- 6Provide two professional or personal references.
- 7Be comfortable with hands-on personal care and light lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- 8No certification required, but CNA, HHA, or prior experience is a plus.
