Care Associate, Memory Care (PRN Overnight)
Overview
You will provide direct care to residents in our Memory Care Program, helping them with daily activities while maintaining their dignity. You will work nights (10PM-6AM) in a dedicated memory care neighborhood, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. What You'll Do8
- 1Provide kind and consistent companionship to residents, fostering trust and emotional support.
- 2Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility, encouraging independence.
- 3Lead and participate in one-on-one and group activities that engage residents and stimulate cognitive function.
- 4Serve meals, assist with memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping in the neighborhood to maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
- 5Respond to resident, family, and employee concerns promptly and follow up to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- 6Maintain a professional and positive demeanor with residents, visitors, and coworkers at all times.
- 7Document care provided and observe changes in resident condition, reporting to the nurse on duty as needed.
- 8Support residents overnight, addressing needs such as toileting, repositioning, and safety checks.
Requirements7
- 11+ years experience working with seniors with dementia, including participation in activities, preferred.
- 2Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and coworkers, and respond to emergencies.
- 3Current CNA or CHHA license, depending on state requirements.
- 4Basic computer skills with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- 5Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- 6Ability to solve practical problems and handle variables in situations with limited standardization.
- 7Compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful demeanor toward residents and coworkers.
