Medication Technician Memory Care Overnight
Overview
You'll deliver medication administration and personal care to seniors in our Memory Care neighborhood during overnight hours, ensuring safety and comfort for up to 30 residents. You'll partner with nurses to update Resident Care Plans and spot changes in residents' conditions. This role suits a detail-oriented caregiver who finds purpose in serving others. What You'll Do8
- 1Administer medications to residents according to their care plans, adhering to state regulations and community policies.
- 2Provide warm and engaging personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- 3Monitor residents for changes in physical or cognitive condition and document observations for the nursing team.
- 4Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- 5Respond to resident call lights promptly, addressing needs with patience and compassion.
- 6Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR) and ensure medication storage is organized and secure.
- 7Collaborate with the overnight nurse to update Resident Care Plans based on observed changes.
- 8Support residents with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Certified as a Medication Aide (NJ) or Medication Technician (MD, PA, VA, RI).
- 3Positive attitude and genuine love for working with seniors.
- 4Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
- 5CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- 6Comfort with overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- 7Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
