Medication Technician MC - Cogir Senior Living Denver
Overview
You will administer medications and support daily living for residents at a senior living community in Denver, working the evening shift (2:00pm-10:00pm) on Sunday, Monday, and Friday. You will follow personalized care plans, document status changes, and coordinate with pharmacies. This role requires a valid state medication administration license and at least 12 months of experience.
What You'll Do7
- 1Administer prescribed medications to residents per individual care plans, ensuring accuracy and timing.
- 2Document medication administration and resident status changes, reporting concerns to the healthcare team.
- 3Manage medication inventory, storage, and re-orders with pharmacies to maintain supply.
- 4Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, with compassion.
- 5Encourage independence and engagement through continuous companionship and life enrichment activities.
- 6Communicate openly with healthcare professionals, families, and staff to coordinate care.
- 7Maintain a safe and clean environment for medication storage and administration.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2Valid state medication administration license (such as CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP or Certified Caregiver) or meet state requirements.
- 3Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.
- 412+ months of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting.
- 5Experience with memory care or formal training is preferred.
- 6Attention to detail and high integrity.
- 7Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- 8Positive attitude, empathy, and patience.
- 9Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.
